Piapot First Nation is a Cree community located in southern Saskatchewan, Canada. It is named after Chief Piapot, who was a signatory of Treaty 4 in 1874. The Piapot First Nation has a population of about 2,000 people, most of whom live on the reserve lands. The community is governed by a chief and six councillors, who are elected every two years. The Piapot First Nation strives to preserve its culture, language and traditions, while also pursuing economic and social development opportunities.
