A new First Nations gas station opened Aug. 24th in Prince Albert Saskatchewan at 6 Ave W & 17 St W. Cree Land Mini Mart II is a partnership between Piapot First Nation and Penner Oil. This is the second gas station resulting from the partnership. Cree Land Mini Mart in Regina was first opened in 2008. The property and gas station in Prince Albert have been under development since 2017. The process needed for the land to be transferred to status land and covid delaying the completion of the project, once construction did start it was completed in only nine months. Cree Land Mini Mart II is the fourth First Nations gas station to open in Prince Albert, along with the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation Tipi Fuel and Convenience and the two PBCN stations. Gas Station Features
The station is open 24h/day and offers tax-exempt tobacco and regular/premium/diesel fuel at very convenient pull-through, full-service pumps in a spacious parking lot as well as a well stocked convenience store. It is the only gas station in Prince Albert west of 2nd Ave. W and is much easier to access and use then some of the First Nations stations in busier parts of the city. There is also a bus stop just next to the station if you're not driving. Next time you're in Prince Albert make sure to check it out!
